Quality and Certification

Unless otherwise agreed the following quality and certifications will be respected on containers which are produced by ContainerPLUS+.

ISO-norms

All containers supplied by ContainerPLUS+ will meet the following standards:

ISO 1496-1

Lays down the basic specifications and testing requirements for ISO series 1 freight containers of the totally enclosed general purpose types and certain specific purpose types (closed, vented, ventilated or open top) which are suitable for international exchange and for conveyance by road, rail and sea, including interchange between these forms of transport.

ISO 1161

Establishes the basic dimensions and the functional and strength requirements of corner fittings for series 1 freight containers with the exception of air mode containers. Defines some details of design vital to container interchange in automatic, semi-automatic and conventional systems.

ISO 668

Classifies series 1 freight containers based on external dimensions and specifies the associated ratings and, where appropriate, the minimum internal and door opening dimensions for certain types of containers.

ISO 6346

Provides a system for general application for the identification and presentation of information about freight containers. Specifies a identification system with mandatory marks for visual interpretation and optional features for automatic identification and electronic data interchange and a coding system for data on container size and type. Replaces the second edition, which has been technically revised.

T.I.R. Certification

All containers supplied by ContainerPLUS+ will meet "The Customs Convention on the International Transport of Goods under the cover of T.I.R. Carnets", or, "The Customs Convention on Containers".

C.S.C. Certification

All containers supplied by ContainerPLUS+ will be certified and will meet the requirements of the "International Convention for the Safe Containers".

Classification

All containers supplied by ContainerPLUS+ will be tested and certified by one of the following companies. 

BV: Bureau Veritas (France)
ABS: American Bureau of Shipping (USA)
LR: Lloyd's Register of Shipping (UK)
GL: Germanischer Lloyd (Germany)

Conservation 

All containers supplied by ContainerPLUS+ will be protected by first quality suppliers of industrial paintsystems.
